2024 Jeep Wrangler Ups the Ante with Factory-Installed 35-inch Tire Package
March 12 2024,
Jeep responds to the demands of off-road enthusiasts by introducing the Xtreme 35 Tire Package for its 2024 Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models, a first for these vehicles. This move, with a Canadian MSRP of $4,995, equips the Wrangler with 35-inch tires directly from the factory, enhancing its off-road capability like never before.
The package's offerings include LT315/70R17C (35-inch) BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, 17-by-8-inch beadlock capable wheels, swing gate reinforcement, a 4.56:1 axle ratio, and a 3.8 cm (1.5-inch) factory suspension lift with shocks that are specially tuned for off-road performance. This setup not only elevates the vehicle's aesthetics but significantly boosts its off-road performance metrics, providing a breakover angle of 32.4 degrees, the best in its class.
With the Xtreme 35 Tire Package, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler models feature an approach angle of 47.2 degrees, a departure angle of 40.4 degrees, 32 centimeters (12.6 inches) of ground clearance, and the ability to ford water up to 86.3 cm (34 inches) deep. This enhancement is a direct nod to customer feedback seeking more adventurous and capable vehicles, mirroring the success of the package initially launched for the four-door Wrangler in 2021.
Starting at an MSRP of $79,905 CAD, the Rubicon X two-door model equipped with the 2.0-litre turbo engine now comes with the Xtreme 35 Tire Package. Jeep has opened orders for the Rubicon model, with production to kick off this spring at the Toledo (Ohio) Assembly Plant. The Willys model will follow, with the package becoming available for order within this quarter.
This initiative by Jeep to include the Xtreme 35 Tire Package as a factory option for the two-door 2024 Wrangler models demonstrates a keen understanding of its customer base's needs. It underscores Jeep's commitment to delivering vehicles that are not just ready for the road but primed for any off-road challenge straight from the dealership.
